Ground Water Abstraction
CGWA
Due to the declining levels of groundwater, industries and organizations are required to obtain the necessary permission for abstraction and use of groundwater. The Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) regulates and controls groundwater development and management in the country under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
